Originally from India, my journey as an educator began with a deep love for music and a calling to nurture creativity in young learners. With a strong foundation in the arts and education, I embraced the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) over a decade ago, drawn to its values of inquiry, international-mindedness, and holistic learning.
Now, with 11 years of experience in IB PYP schools, Iβve seen firsthand how music transcends subjects β becoming a powerful medium for inquiry, cultural understanding, and emotional expression. As a PYP Music Educator, I view music not only as a discipline but as a language of connection, a tool for reflection, and a gateway to deeper thinking.
Currently based in Dubai, I work at one of the regionβs leading IB World Schools, where I contribute to a vibrant international learning community. My move from India to the UAE has expanded my perspective, strengthened my global outlook, and deepened my commitment to international education.
In my classroom, music is integrated with the transdisciplinary themes of the PYP, sparking curiosity and encouraging students to think like artists, collaborators, and inquirers. Whether through digital composition, student-led ensembles, or AI-powered music tools, I design learning experiences that amplify voice, choice, and agency.
I am also a choir director, a digital music enthusiast, a resource creator, and a blog writer, constantly exploring ways to enhance learning through creativity and technology. I believe in equipping students not just with skills, but with the confidence to express themselves meaningfully and connect with the world around them.
My passion lies in creating a space where music is lived, not just learned β where students see themselves as musicians, innovators, and thinkers, ready to make an impact.
